How to install dictionaries in Thunderbird

I can download the English Us dictionary under Mac OS but I cannot see how to install it.

Tools|Add-ons|Get add-ons is usually the easiest route. It does the download and the install for you.

If you have already downloaded an add-on, you can try either of these:

Open the Add-ons page in Thunderbird, drag your downloaded file onto it
On the add-ons page, click the small button to the left of he search box and select "Install Add-on from file"
