I sometimes play live dealer blackjack online, and whilst waiting for my turn, I would like to read another webpage, but as soon as the blackjack window is no longer the active one, the sound stops. I can use a different browser to go to a different webpage, and the sound continues as long as the blackjack is the active one in Firefox, but is there any way to tell Firefox not to silence the inactive window?

What kind of player is Firefox silencing? Usually if you right-click the player, the context menu will identify it, often on the last line. Note that Flash and Java applications may contain the ability to pause or mute themselves when the page loses focus and I don't know whether they can be fooled (or whether Firefox can be modified to not notify them).

Note: Windows users must download the “Internet Explorer” and “Plugin-based browsers” installers.

Note: Edge on Win10 does not use ActiveX version but its own Flash.

One option is to open two windows side by side.
