How can I make "Bookmarks" display my bookmarks menu?
"View > Sidebar > Bookmarks" gets me to the Bookmarks Menu, but I want to get there by clicking on "Bookmarks" on top of the screen between "History" and "Tools" like I did before the Firefox upgrade (really a downgrade). Now, when I click on "Bookmarks", I get a list showing "Show All Bookmarks"; "View Pocket List"; "Bookmark This Page"; "Bookmarks Toolbar"; "Recent Tags"; "Recently Bookmarked"; "Get Bookmark Add-ons"; "Mozilla Firefox"; "DuckDuckGo"; and "Ixquick Web Search". Where is the "Bookmarks Menu" that used to be there and how can I put it back there?
When I get an answer by email,m I don't know how to reply and thank you for your help, so I thank you, now.

You only see a link to open the bookmarks sidebar in the drop-down list that opens if you click the "Show your bookmarks" button next to the star on the Navigation Toolbar. If you use the Bookmarks menu on the menu bar then you need to go to the View menu (View > Sidebar) like you posted above.
Now the "bookmarks" button next to the star on the Navigation Toolbar displays my Bookmarks menu which used to be displayed when I clicked on "Bookmarks" between "History" and "Tools" in the uppermost part of the screen. That's all I need. Now I know where to find what I saved in the Bookmarks Menu. I don't know how that happened because it didn't display that yesterday. Thanks for looking into this for me.
You should see all the bookmarks that are stored in the Bookmarks Menu when you click the Bookmarks item on the menu bar.
Did you verify that the bookmarks that you want to see are actually in the main Bookmarks Menu folder and not in a sub folder in this folder?
Do you see see more than the default smart folders in the Bookmarks Menu folder?
Note that you do not see the Bookmarks Menu as such, but only the bookmarks in that folder. I.e. there is a Bookmarks Toolbar and a link to open the Unsorted bookmarks folder in the Bookmarks Manager (Library) and the content of the Bookmarks Menu folder in between.
If this isn't the case then there might be a problem with the places.sqlite database file.
Now, when I click on "Bookmarks" between "History" and "Tools" in the uppermost part of the screen, I get all my Bookmarks in the Bookmarks Menu and I didn't do anything to change anything. I don't what happened, but now it works the way it did before the upgrade. Thanks for trying to help!
