As Microsoft are switching off WLM 2012 ahead of their outlook mail upgrades, I have looked at Mozilla Thunderbird and it appears in all respects a program that can allow me to avoid the Windows 10 Mail App that they recommend as an alternative to WLM 2012. One question though; when outlook does begin migration - will Mozilla Thunderbird work with all of the outlook email protocols (live, Hotmail, outlook....) after this happens? Any advice seriously appreciated as I think the mail app embedded into windows 10 is a nasty piece of work.

If in doubt, ask Microsoft.
