Sending to some email addresses do not work on my Thunderbird appliction on others they work as before

I got this message sending an email to a friend I left the addree out for privay reasons. Sending the email to the same address from another computer user using thunderbird did not give this problem, email was received by the recipient.

It may my update of Thunderbird end may was not completely succesful HOW to restore this??

Either the receiving sever is set to not accept HTML email or It is set to not accept Text emails.

I will punt on the former and say, go to the address book for this recipient and change the box in "prefers to receive emails formatted as " to Plain Text and try again.

I have not seen such a mail server outside of corporate mail systems for years, but that is not to say they do not exist.
