hi kle1, yahoo has update and slimmed down the functionality of their toolbar addon: https://downloads.yahoo.com/faqfirefoxtoolbar

if you want to have a bookmarks toolbar, why not use the functionality already built into firefox instead?: Bookmarks Toolbar - Display your favorite websites at the top of the Firefox window

Slimmed down? You have completely screwed up my go to site guide. Been using it for years. I wish we could be notified ahead of time so as to back all the stored info before it disappears. Can't trust Firefox any more, so going to have to revert to Google

Yahoo did the change as it is their toolbar and did so shortly after Verison bought Yahoo.

Mozilla nor the Firefox bowser had anything to do with how the Yahoo toolbar is like now. The vast majority of Extensions being hosted at addons.mozilla.org are made by a third-party author or company.
