I am a very light user of Gmail, so I'm sure this is not the best way.

If I need to clear a bunch of stuff out of the Inbox, I use the search box to filter the list then click the box that selects everything in the visible set of results. Then I can trash them all at once.

Are you looking to do this on a webmail site you accessing using the Firefox browser, or in in the stand-alone Thunderbird mail program?

If it's a website, the feature vary depending on the specific site.

If it's Thunderbird, a moderator can move your post to that board.
