This is similar to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1159793#question-reply except I notice that the original poster doesn't mention paste doesn't work in dialog boxes either, and the "paste into Word and then copy and paste into Firefox" workaround doesn't work as a fix, especially for situations with live links and certain web applications. And you simply cannot copy *from* dialog boxes at all with this bug, and you cannot paste into them either. Firefox just refuses. And we are three versions later now, so it would be terrifically awesome if someone would take a look at this.

To see it in action, try copying a link then pasting it into a text area field (say in gmail or yahoo mail.) The link will not paste. Or try copying some random text from a page and then opening a bookmark's properties and pasting the text into the name field. Nothing should happen.

Oh, and another workaround is to paste text into the search bar then copy it out again and past it immediately. Fun.

Things I have tried: rebooting machine, resetting firefox, and this right here is a brand new install of firefox with a brand new profile.

I am including my about:support. Thank you for any assistance! It would be greatly appreciated.

As noted in my original post, I tried a reset (refresh), a reinstall, and a new profile. This problem persists even in safe mode. Yes, I'm on a Mac.

I look forward to Firefox 57. Possibly it addresses the issue.
