When I am clicking on webpage element (or even background), ads system on site open new window with ads. No new tab or small popup, but new window! I don't have this website in exceptions to do that in options. It will be no problem, but some of opened pages are probably full with viruses and sometimes they can't close!

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a good ad / pop-up blocker.

Few blockers can stop everything, but they can be slowed down. I normally run my Firefox window so that there is about an inch from the edge of the window, and the edge of the screen.

Then if I see a full window open, I know it's an ad and close it.

Nothing is permanent as adblockers and companies compete to find ways of stopping each other. All adblockers can break sites. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/noscript/ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/
