I cannot get rid of the +1 in front of the number. When I edit and delete the +1 and change the format with dashes, when I save, it reverts back to +1 with no dashes. Some website forms do not recognize the +1 format withour dashes and only recognize xxx-xxx-xxxx.

unfortunately the autofill only accepts numbers with the country code with no dashes, but making it so it can accept or at least recognize website entries that have it split up in threes with dashes would be useful. I'd recommend submitting feedback to mozilla about this feature:
