Hi, As of this morning I can't forward a Comcast email using Thunderbird 78.5.0. I can forward from Gmail and Comcast sites. Only TB. I can forward my other accounts...earthlink...att...etc.

" An error occurred while sending mail: The mail server sent an incorrect greeting: resomta-ch2-01v.sys.comcast.net resomta-ch2-01v.sys.comcast.net CSI IP 184.170.166.177 is not permitted to send messages. Please contact support if you feel this is in error.."

I'd appreciate any help to fix this. Scott

Comcast is saying that the IP address 184.170.166.177 is not permitted to send messages 184.170.166.177 is registered to metronet, not Comcast. I suggest you try connecting to the internet using a Comcast service and see if things improve.

See https://www.proxydocker.com/en/iplookup/184.170.166.177

My understanding is Comcast have always blocked sending mail unless you connect to the internet using a Comcast service. Note the a VPN obscures your ISP issued IP address so you can not use one of those either.
