Are you referring to the built-in search engine extensions?

You can prevent them from appearing on menus by unchecking them on the Options page, Search panel, in the Search Shortcuts box. Users who "remove" ALL of them from that box have reported that they re-appear after the next update.

If you are trying to remove them with CCleaner or another program, they can't really delete them: they are part of a program file and can't be removed by cleaning settings files.

How did you remove them? Did you go into the programs folder and edit a file?

These search engine are builtin and stored in an omni.ja archive as you can see if you open this page in a Firefox tab.
