my server settings are as follows: server name: pop.gmail.com port: 995 Security: SSL/TLS Authentication: Normal Password

When I try to get messages the status bar only shows: Connected to pop.gmail.com and no other messages. I've enabled pop email access from gmail and also enabled The "less secure apps" setting in my Google security settings.

Any help will be appreciated

Tools/Account Settings, Server Settings, Authentication method, and also Outgoing Server (SMTP) at the bottom left of Account Settings. Set it to OAuth2, remove passwords from Saved Passwords in Options/Privacy & Security, and also in the same section, accept cookies. Restart TB, enter the account password in the OAuth window when prompted.
