I suggest File>New>Existing Email Account. That lets you set it up completely on its own. The prior account can then be deleted.

This method adds the different person's email account visually to my account area. I would like to have a separate account and open either one from the thunderbird.exe -p method. How do I add the other account?

@aainsp2 You should create a separate post for this. However, I will give you the steps and you can go from there: - exit thunderbird, if running - click windows icon and 'r' key and at open window, enter thunderbird.exe -p - create new profile and log into it. - create the separate email account to the new profile. - exit thunderbird - highlight windows shortcut on desktop (I assume windows since you didn't say) - rightclick and on target line, add -p "address to your default profile in quotes" (eg. "c:\users\<yourid>\.....etc...) - once done, make a copy of the short cut, right click and select properties and make this one point to the profile just created. - now you have two shortcuts on desktop, one opens one profile and one opens the other. Use is mutually exclusive.

Correction: the target line should read -profilemgr not -p

David, I managed to use the profile manager to add the new account. Thank you. Now I have that person's account on my account page that I would like to delete. Here is a screenshot of what I have. I have blocked out some information in the screenshot to try to keep this private.

- rightclick account in left pane - click 'settings' -scroll down slightly in left pane to 'Account Settings'. this is a dropdown menu and 'remove account' is there.
