how to allow redirects

I'm pretty sure Firefox behavior on redirects used to present an option to "allow for this site." But if it did, that is now gone. There is only "allow." It allows once, and the next time you visit the same site, you have to allow again. And again. And again. Since one of these sites is the enrollment management system for my college, something I access literally hundreds of times each semester, this is fantastically annoying. I know how to turn off redirection altogether, but that seems like a blunderbuss solution. Most of the time, I like that warning. I just want to allow exceptions. Is there any way to do this?

The most annoying site is the enrollment management system at the college where I work. I posted a screenshot. This happens every single time I log in to that site. In the before times, it didn't. There may have been some configuration change on their end that started it happening, but as you can see there appears to be no way to set a permanent exception. OS is Windows 10 Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045, Firefox 121.01.

Thanks!

The warning that Firefox shows when websites redirect or reload the page is blocked can no longer be controlled via Settings.

You can set this pref on the about:config page to false to disable this accidentally feature. This is all or nothing, there is no way to turn this off for specific websites.

  • accessibility.blockautorefresh = false

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. On the warning page, click "Accept the Risk and Continue" to open about:config.

I notice that you have the Facebook container extension that might add to redirecting a link to a specific container.

Note that you can consider to remove the two flexible spaces that surround the address bar container via customize mode, i.e. drag them off the address bar to the Customize palette.

Facebook Container acts on non-Facebook pages?

I thought about the config change, but most redirect requests probably should be blocked. The inability to make a white list is a problem.

Thanks! I can't really say this solves the problem since apparently the problem can't be solved, but that is something Mozilla should fix.
