After upgrading to the latest Firefox (3.6.6) today, the browser will no longer open any websites, I just get a blank page

After upgrading to the latest version of FF, I can no longer access any webpages. The IE browser does work though.

Every time Firefox opened

I had to go back to the last install file I had on hand, which was 3.0.9 because FF "denied proxy" after upgrading. Once I get that message, the program won't even open until I install an older version. Upgrading again yields the same results.
