Can't get FF to open tiffs on the USPTO page. Very important for many people. Alternatiff is not allied with FF, but allows great viewing of tiffs on USPTO website. QuickTime not able to display on any Windows system I have tried, but it always pops up no matter how I deselect it for any file format.

Any Windows system XP or 7 using Firefox 3.6. Explorer allows plug-ins such AlternaTiff to view the patent diagrams.

http://www.uspto.gov/patft/help/images.htm: The plug-in you use cannot be just any TIFF image plug-in. It must be able to specifically display TIFF files using ITU T.6 or CCITT Group 4 (G4) compression.

Did you install the 3. Standard web browser plug-in (Netscape-style) ?
Internet Explorer uses a different plugin than is needed by other browsers?
