You're presumably talking about the "Location Bar" a.k.a. the "Awesome Bar" where you type in a web address?

If so, simply highlight the link you don't want anymore and then hit the Delete key on your keyboard.

To change what is displayed, do the following.

  1. Click the orange Firefox button, go to Options | Options | Privacy.

  2. In the menu at the bottom where you see "Location Bar", use the dropdown menu to choose alternatives. You can also choose "Nothing" in which case you won't see anything at all when you type something.

If this suggestion answers your question, please click the Solved it button next to this post after you log in into the forum. This will help others searching for a solution to the same problem.

Thanks.
