How can I direct my downloads to where I want them?

I have an external drive where I store all my pics & vids. When I download to my pc , its hard to find what I downloaded, then its hard to move my downloads to my external drive. (it also eats up my memory)..

Simply go to 'properties' and set the location for downloads; I have mine set to go to the Download folder - from here, I can then move the file wherever later.
