I need the tool bar that has the little house(home page) so I can go to web sites and return to foxfire. I tried to restore my computer to an earlier date which failed. If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key, that should make the menu bar appear.
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
- If items are missing then open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
- If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar
- If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up.

Do you have a book "fire fox for dummies". I've tried your suggestions with no luck. I still don't have a home page. I even removed Fire fox and re-downloaded it with no luck.
Thank you for trying to help. Now I cain't even get to the support page. It sayes the page cain't find a server. I'm just going to remove everthing. I've really enjoyed using Fox Fire when I had a home page to use. I don't know what happened when I tried to up grade, but I am very frusrated when I cain't fix it. I also have been fighting lung cancer and the side affects some times get to me. Again thank you for trying. lhalsey02
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
