When I click on a link that invokes Adobe reader to download and view a .pdf file v7.0.1 crashes with no crash report. I have reinstalled my Adobe reader (v7.0 - not the latest version, but I prefer it). I have not had this problem in any previous version of Firefox dating back to v2.x

Since there is no crash report, I cannot submit anything to Mozilla. I just relaunch Firefox and restore the session. I then copy the URL that wants to download the .pdf, paste it into IE and go from there to get the .pdf

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems. See Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins"

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)
