If you want to downgrade to previous version of Firefox i.e. 7.0.1 then make a backup of your browser profile {http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder} even though the downgrade procedure leaves your profile untouched. Download Firefox 7.0.1 from http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/7.0.1/win32/

No need to uninstall Firefox before you downgrade, just hit the Firefox setup file to install.

edit: replaced random download unofficial site link.

Firefox 7.0.1 can be found here:

Do not remove personal data when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data in the profile folder.

Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a (re)install, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.
