I updated the newest version of Firefox (3/2012). When I turn my computer on it continues to "crunch" for 20-30 min. Some program is always runnng when I shut down the computer.

My question pretty much states what the problem is. I thought that Trend Micro was constantly doing a scan every time I opened my computer but I contacted Trend Micro and it is not their program that is causing the problem.

Hi,

You can try to do a basic check in the Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) Processes tab to see if firefox is listed.
