The print preview in firefox 12.0 is totally blank. I can't print anything except header and footer. I use this utility to print in pdf files but the only thing I see is a black background window and nothing on it.

Does this occur on all pages or only particular pages? If just a few pages, could you post a few sample URLs?

Have you tried updating or uninstalling the Print Edit extension to see whether that makes any difference?

Just in case the saved printer preferences have become corrupted, please try the "reset" described in this article (including all preferences as mentioned in the parenthetical for #3): http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problems_printing_web_pages#Reset_printer

Any improvement?

Good day jscher2000,

I'm thankful for your concern and quick reply. Fortunately I solved my issue by full uninstall and install.

In my case, I think, the problem came up because I wanted to keep the ".mozilla" directory from Ubuntu 11.04. Now I have Ubuntu 12.04.

This time I got rid of that directory and installed a new Firefox 12.0 and worked. I lost some little things in the process... mainly because I only did backup of bookmarks.

By the way... I installed all the Add-ons I wanted, including Print Edit 8.4 and everything works fine.

I hope this gives some ideas to solve others people's problems.

Cheers to all ;-)
