Hi,

You can try to Restore to default the Home Page in Tools (Alt + T) > Options > General.

Home page

For customizing the Search bar, please see this. Please also note that the home page and the Search bar are different and can have different settings.

You can try to Disable anything related to Yahoo (it could be another entirely different name/organization) in Tools (Alt + T) > Add-ons > Extensions.

Can you also please create a screenshot of the home page you're seeing by following the guide mentioned at How do I create a screenshot of my problem?.

Once you've done this, attach the saved screenshot file to your forum post by clicking the Browse... button below the Post your reply box. You really help us to visualize the problem.

Try this extension:

What is your current home page?

Is this the internal about:home page or a website?

Can you list the extensions?

Can you attach a screenshot of the home page or post the URL if it is a web page?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.

That is the about:home page and it looks broken.

If there is a problem with the build-in about:home page then try to reset the search engine used on the about:home page.

Reset the browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone pref via the right-click context menu to the default on the about:config page and close and restart Firefox to restore the about:home page to its default.

  • Open the about:config page via the location bar
  • Type in the Filter bar: mstone
  • Right-click the browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone line and select: Reset
  • Close and restart Firefox

If that didn't help then delete the delete the chromeappsstore.sqlite file in the Firefox Profile Folder and repeat the above.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
