What is the source of the problem and what do I do to fix this freezing/slowing/Firefox &/or Flash crash issue that all but prevents me from using the internet. It happens every time when i'm either using Firefox, and a new page is loading or when I'm trying to utilize almost any website requiring Flash, and suddenly the page freezes and this message in a message box comes up:

Warning: Unresponsive plugin

Shockwave Flash may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the plugin now, or you can continue to see if the plugin will complete.

What to do to fix the issue??

The first thing I would try is to disable the protected mode feature of the Flash Player plugin. This involves creating or editing a configuration file. See these for more info:

This might not take effect until after you exit and restart Firefox.
