Firefox closes itself when I close the lid of the PC windows 8 while the computer is running

more options

Hi, Every time I close the lid of my computer(windows 8), Firefox is closing itself. If I want to take a break from my work fro few hours, or move the laptop, I can't close the lid if I do not want to loose my tabs and search history . I use only Firefox and this is very annoying.

Hope you can help. I tried to look at the computer setting but didn't see any change relevant.

Thanks.

Wow, I have not heard of this before.

What is Windows set to do when you close the lid? Typical choices are Sleep, Hibernate, and Do Nothing (i.e., stay on).

After Firefox closes, are you able to use History > Restore Previous Session to get back to where you were? (That wouldn't work if you have Firefox set to clear all history at shutdown, or if you were using private browsing windows.)
