When I log into my company site, the save password button disappears almost immediately without letting the arrow even get near the save password box.

When I log into my company web site, the first time I sign in after opening the web page I have to manually sign in. The save password box appears each time; however, the box disappears almost immediately before I can get the arrow even near the box to click to save. The next two sign in boxes have presented the password save box normally while waiting to be clicked yes or no before clearing the screen. Any reason why the first sign in box disappears right away?

It is possible there there is a script running on that page that caused this (e.g. set focus to an element).

Did you check if there is a key like icon on the left end of the location bar that you can click to reopen this dialog?

I did check for the key and it leaves the screen as fast as the save password box.

I don't know if there is some script running or not. Thanks.

You can try to update to Firefox 30 to see if that brings improvement. See Help > About

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
