Flash content blank and unable to access flash control panel to turn off hardware acceleration.
Flash content appears as blank and nothing happens when attempting to access flash player settings. Not sure if it helps, but the operating system is Mac OS X Mavericks running in virutal machine.
- QuickTime
- Shockwave Flash 14.0 r0
- Displays Java applet content, or a placeholder if Java is not installed.

Hi 薛定谔的老猫, On your [about:addons] page, please select "Always Activate" for the Flash player.
- If it is crashing: Send plugin crash reports to help Mozilla improve Firefox
- Please also try to reload the page after you change this setting.
- Also try to reinstall Flash.
Please post back with your results, it can help other users.
Flash player is already activated. I tried reinstalling multiple times and it still doesn't work.
Right clicking on a flash player as well?
I can right click, and click on the "Settings" option, but nothing comes up (flash content still remains blank).
Does this only happen in the virtual machine?
I think so. I tried on this on 2 different VMs (Lion and Mavericks) and they all have the same issue.
Are there any Global Settings of the flash player that are blocking content? or do you have ActiveX filtering on?
Also clearing the data in here https://forums.adobe.com/thread/889577 has worked in the past. Also I found that you can try disabling hardware acceleration or try a virus scanner on the host computer.
