Hello. Problem is that MTB (Mozilla Thunderbird) is editing original file, when it should edit a temporary attached file, in the end a person has lost his original file content and left with edited file content, practically the attached file witch you edit, edits the original file, is there any solution to this problem. Found an article about the same problem but didn`t get any solutions out of it. Thank you in advance. ;)

Since you do not specify what file type the attachment is we are left to guess. For the most part Thunderbird only transports the attachment. The attachments are usually opened and modified by another helper software. IE: Word files by Microsoft Office. Once you edit a file it would be up to you to know to use Save As instead of Save if you want to maintain the original file as is. I am not sure how you see this as a Thunderbird problem.
