why do googlesheets default to pdf?

Two questions:

When I now create googledocs and google sheets, and go to print them/view them, they come up as pdf docs. I want to share these docs with others, not have them come up as pdf. how do i change this?

When I go to print my google sheets I increase them to 100% but they still print too small to read. Using the + does not work, they are still too small to read.

Unfortunately, you can't print directly from Google Drive. The only way to print your Google Drive documents is to download them as a PDF or Microsoft Office file and print it from those programs. That's just how Google decided to do it.

Now, if you want to share them with others, you can share files in Google Drive with other people by clicking the share button and entering their e-mail addresses. If they have a Google account, they will be able to add a link to the shared file in their Drive.
