In gmail, clicking Contacts, "firefox prevented this page ...." Select "allow" takes me to gmail sign in, then won't sign in.

Use firefox, open gmail just fine. Try to open Contacts, but new tab opens with message "firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page". If I select "allow" the gmail sign in page pops up. If I click "Sign in" the sign in page just reloads. If I select a new tab in firefox, the gmail loads, but I still can't get my contacts.

Not sure if this matters, but I recently synced my new cell phone to firefox. My contacts show up on my phone but updates are easier to type on computer.

See:

  • Firefox > Options/Preferences > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"

The setting in "Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.
