I want to use tab groups for "never lose" bookmarks. Is there way to LOCK them and keep them from being easily lost?

Tab groups COULD be a great feature - providing a way to organize and easily search saved pages. But for that to happen they need to be trustworthy... That means (1) Short of a hard disk crash or a DELIBERATE decision to erase a tab or an entire group they must be counted on to persist. Also, it should be possible to LOCK them so navigating from a tab on a tab group DOESN'T automatically change the saved tab. Is there any hope you guys will improve tag groups so they can actually be trusted?? The number of questions on tab groups where people are asking you for help getting the tabs back MEANS tab groups cannot be trusted. You might say "Bookmarks" is where one should put things they seriously don't want to lose but the bookmarks facility is a jumbled, mostly-unsearchable mess. The ideal would be to REPLACE the too-primative "bookmarks" with a bookmarks-tabGroups facility. But, if you aren't going to do this, at least make it so I can opt out of "bookmarks" in favor of tab-groups. However, as I said, nobody sane is going to do this until they have a commitment from you to make it so tabs painstakingly saved and organized in tab-groups no longer just disappear and can't be accidently trashed. Either upgrade tab groups or consider abandoning the feature because in its current state it is like an attractive danger; people start using it and then find out they are screwed. Thank you!

The tabs groups certainly should not just disappear.

If you really want to save a webpage location use bookmarks.

I do not see why you describe bookmarks as an unsearchable mess. You may search from the address bar or within the bookmarks manager. They may be tagged, put in nested folders, and displayed in various ways.

Firefox makes multiple automated backups, and facilitates manual backups and exports.

IIRC Tab Groups are no longer actively developed. This is not the best place to ask. We are fellow Firefox users helping one another.
