autofill/autocomplete drop-down menu in wrong place!

when I put the first letter/number in a box the autocomplete drop-down menu shows up in random parts of the screen...when I click on it it turns blue but does not fill in the box...

First, try relaunching Firefox. (You might have tried this already...)

If that doesn't help, restart your computer, and if it's still acting weird, you might have to reinstall Firefox.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration related issues.
