Am wondering why all of a sudden, when I print a document, Firefox is printing it in very tiny print--just started happening and I don't know how to change this to the size print I want. Thanks. Pam Frye PS I was able to print the same documents on Google Chrome in the correct size, so I am fairly sure this is a Firefox issue.

Does it seem that Firefox is not using the whole sheet of paper? That can be caused by having extracted the wrong paper size settings from Windows when reading the print driver data. Clearing it can involve finding some obscure settings, but here goes:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.

(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste print and pause while the list is filtered

(3) For each setting for the problem printer, right-click and Reset it. The fastest way is to right-click with the mouse and then press the r key on the keyboard with your other hand.

Note: In a couple other threads involving Brother printers, the preference printer_printer_name.print_paper_data was set to 256 and when the user edited it to 1 that fixed the paper size problem. If you see a 256 there, you can edit the value by doubling-clicking it or using right-click>Modify.

Any improvement?

OK, at first when I followed the instructions using about:config, it seemed to work and reset everything from "user set" to "default". Then I was able to print out documents in the correct size. However, without me doing anything else, it reverted back to the tiny print size, so I'm confused as to why it would do that. I went back into about:config and noticed that all of the settings for this printer now said "user set", so I reset all of the settings to "dafault" once again and it seems to be working, but I have no idea why after doing that the first time, everything reverted back, causing the problem once again.

Did the change occur after exiting out of Firefox and starting it up again, or shutting down Windows and starting it up again? If you can spot a pattern like that, you could investigate whether there is a a more general problem updating settings files or having them reverted by utility software.

If the bad settings return randomly... it would be hard to figure out the reason.

I'm not sure when it happened, but I am relatively certain it is a Firefox issue because when I tried to print on chrome, everything printed just fine. I will try to be aware of what happens to see if there is a pattern or if it is random.
