do I have to set up a new email account, because I thought I could sync it, but I sign in my account and it says email account not verified, so I verify it and it sends it to me email account on internet explorer, and when I open it and try to verify the account it says I am using an outdated browser. My browser in Firefox is the newest one but I can't sync my email so I still have to keep internet explorer just to check my email on the computer. Am I crazy or am I doing something wrong?

I don't understand syncing your email account.

First, neither Firefox nor IE will do "email". But they both will allow you to access your email via a webmail website.

In order for Firefox verify your Sync setup you need to access the email that Mozilla sends you to activate a Firefox Account when using Firefox. Then when reading that email in Firefox and click on the activation link in that email. You could try copy'n'pasting from IE [and your webmail] into Firefox and see it that would work, but it didn't work for me a few years ago when I tried it with an older version of Firefox and the previous Sync 1.1 version.
