How can I delete multiple emails with one action?

more options

Until recently (?), I could highlight an email, scroll to another, l. click to highlight the range selected, hit the space bar, and the range would be deleted. Now, I can only highlight and delete one message at a time.

Windows 101

Click the first one. Go to the last one, hold the Shift key and click to select that range. Press delete, not space. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/select-multiple-files-folders#1TC=windows-7
