Microsoft Tech in control of my computer changed users and lost Thunderbird emails, address book and contacts. How to get them back or are they gone?
Recently updated to Windows 10. Windows 10 did not come with a calculator and I could not access the Windows Store because every time it would open in a blink and just as quickly close. Tried many fixes recommended by other users, but nothing worked. Sought Windows support and they took control of my computer and created a new user and a new account, verified that the Windows Store app would open then copied files and synchronized stuff said all was well and I should just continue as before. Both Thunderbird and Firefox had problems. No bookmarks in Firefox which got fixed somewhat the next day. The Windows support indicated that they did not support Thunderbird and after looking around in my computer said to contact Mozilla support. I lost about 200 emails as well as address book and contact lists. I don't know where to look for the data. The bookmarks were in a Microsoft program - the one they recommend - so I can get those. Do I just bite the bullet and start rebuilding my address book from scratch or is there some hope that the data is here somewhere?

The information will be in your old windows user account. Did the tech delete it or leave it somewhere?
Personally I would be back to Microsoft complaining that they had not fixed the problem, having broken more than they fixed
