I have my headphones hooked up to my PC. My mind was wandering and I happened to right click and hold on the top grey area of the Mozilla browser window. I noticed that it emits a sound. It's like a low volume fax noise, sorta twisting or swirling electric whistles. it does this whether I'm connected to the internet or not. Changing the volume settings does not affect the volume of the sound. I don't notice this happening when I click any where else. I tried the Microsoft edge browser that is on my computer and it did not do it nor with anything else on my desktop. So, what is it? Why does it do this? Can anyone replicate this? Thanks for your time.

Firefox itself makes no sound.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

Hello,

Thanks for responding.

It does not do it in safe mode.

I tried disabling my add-ons in normal mode, but I still hear the sound. I didn't add any themes. Not sure what else to check. I'll play around with more when I get a chance.

Thanks for your time. It's appreciated.
