When I try to download an ebook using Firefox for Android, instead of the ebook appearing in my Bluefire ereader app, I just get an acsm file in my Downloads folder. If I use Chrome, the ebook appears in my Bluefire ereader app after the ereader app manages the download. What do I need to do in Firefox for Android so that acsm files are passed to my Bluefire ereader app to manage the download ?

Chosen solution

I uninstalled Firefox, then installed it again. This solved the problem and Firefox now invokes Bluefire ereader to manage the download.

More info :

When I borrow an ebook when logged in to the library with Chrome and select 'Read with Adobe' so it will be downloaded, I get a window which allows me to select what I want to happen, with 'download with Bluefire Reader' as the default choice, and if I select that, that is what happens.

When I borrow an ebook when logged in to the library with Firefox and select 'Read with Adobe' so it will be downloaded, it immediately downloads the acsm file. I am given no choice of what I want to do.

I would prefer to use Firefox.

BTW, I first contacted Bluefire Reader for support because Firefox would not download to Bluefire, and they suggested I try a different browser to see if I got the same symptoms. As you can see, I don't.
