Thunderbird 60.3.3 update inflicts animation. How can I protect myself against animation?

Hi,

Thunderbird recently updated itself, and now it inflicts animation as each message loads. It loads, and then it painfully slides the message downward, before it loads a message about blocking remote content.

I have a strobe and visual motion sensitivity and migraine triggers like this pain/animation can trigger my migraines, with more pain, and nausea.

Is there some way to block this pain/animation?

P.S. This fix still works:

The issue is that I'd been using Stylish and that no longer works.
