Bookmarks from my Desktop (v72) will not sync with my Gen 5 iPad (v22). It does sync fine with my iPhone 8+ (v22). but will not sync to the iPad . I have disconnected the iPad and reconnected, signed out of the account and resigned in but nothing seems to fix it.

Have you tried disconnecting it from your desktop rather than the ipad and then reconnecting it on the ipad? I'm doing some research on this too...

I disconnected my desktop and then synced my iPad but did not help. iPad bookmarks still won’t match bookmarks on desktop.Should I try deleting the Firefox app and then reinstall it and synch? The bookmarks on my iPhone app are synched fine.

What do you mean they won't match? If you have local bookmarks (or previous bookmarks) on the Ipad they aren't deleted when you desync/disconnect, as we removed that as it was causing users headaches. Although, it is admittedly annoying having every user on a device have bookmarks show up when you only want one users bookmarks....

I would try deleting and reinstalling it, yes.

I meant that I had new bookmarks on my desktop that wouldn’t synch over to my iPad. They synched to my iPhone OK. I’ll try deleting the app and reinstalling and then syncing .

Deleted the Firefox app on my iPad and reinstalled. I now have no bookmarks on my iPad app. Syncing does nothing for the iPad app. Yes it shows connected and registered on my account.

Let's try this on your desktop computer:

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) (this can cause syncing issues) in the Firefox profile folder.

  • use "Verify Integrity" on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page

If you use Sync then best is to reconnect one device at the time and wait for the initial Sync to finish before connecting another device once you have fixed the bookmarks.
