Chosen solution

Hello elliewilliams, Below I have listed the steps.

1. Go to the Thunderbird menu. Then go to Tools, then Account Settings.

2. Select the account you want to remove

3. Click the Account Actions button on the bottom left and click, Remove Account.

4. Click the OK button on the bottom left of the Account Settings Window.

5. Exit Thunderbird and then go in again.

You are then done! Tell me how I did and, Stay Safe!

PS. If I helped, I would really love if you'd vouch(confirm) me on Mozillians. Vouch me here: https://mozillians.org/en-US/u/Tommy/. Thanks!

I didn't know which was the new account with the new password and which was the old compromised account, so I followed your instructions and deleted both, then reinstalled the new account. It worked!
