Random tab crashes
Hello!
For the past few days my Firefox randomly crashes, specifically - tab crashes. Sometimes it is local news website, there was one fullscreen video that crashed that tab 2 times, and even YouTube tab has crashed.
If it helps, here is last few crash reports: bp-8aa70181-48fc-4c64-a45e-615130200612 bp-1f78d4a1-c489-4e46-bd7e-11b950200612 bp-05cb6a6c-8863-43ca-a395-d509d0200612 bp-46c4dd28-10bc-4015-8ea9-89fd80200612 bp-4b4186f4-6ee9-4bf0-96e9-3331c0200612 bp-986950ea-39d9-4cb5-84d6-1a7460200612 bp-90d58c69-469e-4af4-b861-c41940200612 bp-70ab3d45-0433-42d8-acd7-7700b0200612 bp-d1bb4768-61bc-4a2e-98c7-40c810200612

See if there are updates for your graphics drivers
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration
The problem may be caused by bad memory.
MemTest LAST UPDATED : 27/09/2013
Could you please run a tool from http://memtest.org/
in order to check the integrity of your RAM?
You will need a thumb or disk drive to install it on.
Do you let Windows handle the page file or did you set a fixed size ?
If you use a fixed size for the page file then try the former and let Windows handle the page file.
Ok. I will try to update my nVidia drivers, but somehow I doubt, that my RAM has gone bad, because it`s a new laptop and everything else works perfectly fine. But for the sake of if, I will try Memtest also.
About page file - I haven`t changed any setting on that, so Windows should handle it by default, right?
Thank You! I will post it results in few days to be sure, that the problem is gone.
Edit: Ok, now Mozilla crashed entirely, not just one tab. Updated the graphics drivers, ran Memtest86+ 5.31b without errors. I used those add-ons previously without such problems. bp-a9cd0d68-29ff-4d25-b08a-0bee80200613
Modified
You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Options/Preferences -> General: Performance
remove checkmark: [ ] "Use recommended performance settings"
remove checkmark: [ ] "Use hardware acceleration when available" - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/performance-settings
Close and restart Firefox after modifying the setting for changes to take effect.
Just received the same old tab crashing problem even after all the mentioned probable solutions - driver update, memtest and removed hardware acceleration. Should I try to reinstall Firefox? Disable all add-ons? Maybe I should try older version 76...? Latest crashes: bp-31523747-d250-44f9-b5cf-c27f10200614 bp-c7cb3eec-ea41-4a74-b62b-7f2c60200614

That does not mean there is no problem. Run the MEM test anyway.
Good. Now we can look elsewhere.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}
A small dialog should appear. Click
Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).
Is the problem still there?

Start your Computer in safe mode with network support.
Then start Firefox.
Try Secure websites. Is the problem still there?

Interesting fact - I installed 78.0b7 Beta version of Firefox and so far without any issues.
Sounds good.

I did that, but as soon as I did it YouTube crashed again. bp-4543c7be-3d2d-4098-a3e6-679b00200616
I will try to use Firefox in Safe mode today and see any differences.
