FEEDBACK: Addition of drop-down menu to "Write a new message" for a specific account.
I'm new the Thunderbird client and found it some what awkward when sending a message to an address-book member from a specific account.
When I clicked on the account I want to use to send a message, and the clicked on "Write a new message", while the correct account appeared in the "From" field, I could find no way to select "To" address I wanted. When I clicked on the address-book in tools, there was no insert.
Instead I had to select "Address Book" pick the person I wanted, then click write; this filled in the "To" than click on the "From" drop-down menu to select an account.
I suggest a little symmetry; after an account is selected from the left-bar, when "Write" is clicked provide either a drop-down in the "To" field to select from the Address-Book, or alternatively put the Address-Book on the tool-bar and provide the option of selecting one (or more addresses) with an "Insert" widget to insert the selected address(es) into the "To" field.
Perhaps there is already a way to do this, but as yet I haven't found it :)
X.

If address autocomplete is enabled, under Options/Composition/Addressing, just start typing the name or address in the To box, and matching entries from Address Book are displayed.
The Contacts sidebar (F9 in a Write window) offers another method, similar to the one you suggest.
