Nothing works. I simply want the voice search microphone icon in the google search bar on my Firefox homepage, Why is this not a standard feature? I will go back to google chrome i guess.

Thank you. However the is no mic button anywhere on my Firefox page. All I want is the google search bar in the middle of my screen to have the mic option. I cant give permission to us a mic that's not there.

Hello,

This is because the newtab page is not the google search page. You can use New Tab Override to change this.

New Tab Override can be found here https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/new-tab-override/

Even when I go to Google.com with FF, the mic is not there like when using google chrome.

I see what you mean. This seems to be google discriminating against non-chromium-based browsers.

The only solution I see is spoofing your user-agent.

You can find an extension for this here. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/user-agent-string-switcher/
