I have thunderbird now on my computer. Trying to use it with my email: ... @sbcglobal.net.

it doesn't work as the inbound/outbound settings are wrong. ATT says they can't help me.

Can you please tell me how to set up inbound settings: map.mail.att.net port 995 doesn't work.

Outbound server smtp.mail.att.net port 587 doesn't work.

Using SSL and normal authincation method.

thanks

ATT Support is worse than useless. Your setting are probably correct. But you need to use a special password. https://www.att.com/support/article/email-support/KM1240308/

This "securemailkey" is an invention of Yahoo (ATT contractor) and is in no way involved with Thunderbird, other than you have to use the password they supply to connect..
