the color layers have shifted during the playing of videos, mainly youtube. This started a couple of months ago. There is a green line on the bottom of the screen and a definite shift in the colors on everything.

Try to set gfx.color_management.native_srgb = true on the about:config page.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. On the warning page, you can click "Accept the Risk and Continue" to open about:config.

I changed it from False to True and then rebooted the computer. Same issue. The strange thing is this started a couple of months ago and the issue does not exist on other browsers, or my second computer which has the exact same hardware. I double checked after the reboot to confirm the 'true' statement was still there.

Does it still happen in a new profile? An easy way to test a new profile is to install Developer Edition and see if it happens there or refresh your existing profile.
