When I click "options" on any extension I have, the dialog window freezes and I must restart firefox. Why may this be?

I'm trying to use zotero an extension which does not work. When I go to the add ons menu, I can see the various add ons I have (mostly java consoles) but if I select the "options" listed on any one of these add ons, the add ons window immediately freezes. Any clicking in the window will only yield the error tone the computer makes when you aren't supposed to click there. Again, this not only for Zotero options, but any add on I have.

I have experienced this problem. It is caused by a addon that has not been updated a certain way. If I remember right it affected the "Options" button for all addons I had installed. It definitely froze the addons window too.

The addon that caused this for me was the "Make Link" addon. But I think the author fixed the problem since then. So if you have this addon, try uninstalling it, restart Firefox and see if the problem is gone. If you don't have that addon, try uninstalling the most recent addon you installed and see if the problem goes away.

If you find out which addon caused this, report it here and I'll contact the author of it and let him know what he can do to fix it on his end.

Then I believe Zotero is the addon responsible for this then.

Are you getting it from the zotero.org website or the Firefox addon website? Maybe one of the sites is giving a different version than the other even though both have 2.0.9.

And is your Zotero version 2.0.9?
