Failing remote setup - new account, never sync'd

Hello,

I'm running a fresh install of Firefox - Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; FreeBSD amd64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20110125 Firefox/3.6.13.

I've installed Firefox Sync 1.6.2 from the add-ons site.

I was having trouble with my existing account, so now I'm trying with a fresh account - it created the account successfully, but I've never been able to get a successful connection/sync. Here's the error log I get:

% cat verbose-log.txt

Any ideas what could be going wrong here?

Thanks.

Hi, i had the same Problem with Firefox 4 RC. It seems like Sync is not compatible with the FIPS-140-Crypto module. So I was able to resolve my issues by turning FIPS off. If you like trying that, you will find the setting here: Options » Advanced » Encryption » Cryptography » Security Devices » Disable FIPS

(Not sure about the exact wording as I am using a localised built)
